Leader Ship

Ahoy there!

It has been a journey this week as Courageous was tasked with playing a part in inspiring 90 of the top global leaders from Kraft Heinz to come aboard their “SS Tomorrow”.

Making that type of investment, and conveying how important it is to unite as raft mates, shows you how serious leadership is taken at the company. Think about the cost alone to fly many of Kraft Heinz’s top brass from across the world so they could be in living color to discuss what comes next. Yes, the power of “live” still plays.

While there isn’t much I’m at liberty to share (as you can imagine), Kraft Heinz did challenge us to help them preview their future.

So we did make a preview — that I won’t show here.

Overall, over the course of the week, what became clear is Kraft Heinz IS charting their course into the choppy, swirling waters called the future of business.

It’s nearly impossible to be courageous when you’re cloudy. No one can see their North Star on a cloudy night let alone spot a lighthouse in murky waters.

It’s why the team came together in the first place.

To come together. To get aligned. To successfully steer themselves into tomorrow.

Leadership is a bit like a Ship.

The Captain of the ship must articulate a clear path forward. The leaders of the ship then must navigate the waters to the best of their ability sending that plan into action.

Are your people ready to be on the rudder of your business?  The crew you choose to come aboard your corporate vessel matters.

When it comes time for an “all hands on deck”, are you ready?
